In my work I am exploring the voids created between people, specifically the marginalised. I have used figures that create a sense of despair, people who have been broken down and are yet to find a way to rebuild. The work focuses on the empty spaces between, drawing the viewer’s gaze to the vacuums and deepening the isolation of the figures. This has drawn me to using mostly black and white, the rich black evoking a sense of eternal space.Click an image below to see the full picture
