The architecture of existence is determined by an invisible, immaterial world of pure form and geometry. From the minuscule to the infinitely large, the universe engineers and replicates functions and principles in a plethora of fractal designs and harmonious patterns that resonate and stimulate us both visually and subconsciously. My work involves the use of sacred geometry, the warping of perception and the creation of illusion and ambiguity, to produce images that are both familiar and alien in appearance. By incorporating techniques I have developed (through my experience in the printing trade), into my drawing and painting practice and the use of macro-photography and Photoshop techniques in my photography major, my work reflects the timeless character and intrinsic beauty of the natural world and mans impact upon it, both visible and invisible to the naked eye, and challenges the viewer to question the nature of reality, hyper-reality and the subconscious.
