I continue my exploration into landscapes this year; internal and external. In Printmaking I am concerned with family and narrative whilst in Ceramics I contextualize humans within, and becoming, the natural environment.

The work pictured exemplifies my experimental drawings, demonstrating the soft, lyrical style of contemporary ink wash and mixed media works on paper, cleverly capturing the aura and mysticism hidden in the landscape. Respected artist and Archibald finalist, Matthew Lynn described this work as “a very interesting technique, which really gives a sense of being in the landscape not just looking at it. Feels a bit like gazing into the Wild Dog Mountains from Green Gully.”
