My work involves the Disasters of Nature of 2011 in QLD, New Zealand and Japan.

I have been painting and drawing Japanese tsunami survivors and scenes I have crossed over with some of those images or at the least bring the feeling of the erratic weather around the world this year into my printmaking work.

The works are the way I see it from the media sources available to us through TV, Internet and Newspapers. Images which remain with me and disturb me as I feel emotional and hopeless to do anything about. Yet drawn to these images as everyday life go on in our own world.

A lot of my images are the survivors of these disasters, people or animals who don’t understand why or how they happen. Loss and guilt and relief, a myriad of emotions. These are what I endeavour to bring across in my art.
